What you actually have left this month

The stance

Why manual entry?

An app wired to your bank sorts your spending for you, and you end up not looking at it. A spreadsheet lets you do everything, including quitting after three weeks. Tulyne keeps the one thing that matters, writing the expense down, because that's when it sinks in. The arithmetic is its job.

What you write down, you remember.

  • Logging is realising

Typing the amount you just spent makes you live it once more. That small moment of friction shapes your next decision far better than an end-of-month chart.

  • Your words, not the bank's

"Dinner with Léa" and you picture the evening again. "CB BISTRODESANGLES MKT 3245", never.

  • Nothing to plug in

Tulyne connects to no bank account. Nothing to authorise, so nothing to keep an eye on.

Features

A dashboard you'll actually want to open

Clear, fast, usable from the first minute. Nothing to set up before you start.

  • Entry in seconds

An amount, an account, saved. The category and the label can wait: Tulyne asks you for them later.

  • Your different accounts

Current, savings, and transfers between them, which move money without counting it as spending.

  • Subscriptions and fixed costs

Declare what comes out every month. On the due date, Tulyne reminds you and you confirm.

  • A budget per category

Decide how much you want to put toward groceries or going out, and watch the rest go down as the month passes.

  • Know before you buy

The home screen stacks three figures, from the safest to the finest: what's really in your account, what will be left once this month's fixed costs are out, then what's left in each budget. You can tell at once whether a purchase fits, or which budget it would push over.

How it works

A five-minute ritual

Tulyne tracks nothing in real time. It's the moment you sit down, log the day, and look at your spending head-on.

  1. 1

    You log

In the evening, you write down the day's spending. The label you type is your memory: it's what tells you where the money went.

  2. 2

    You see

With every expense you add, the home screen recomputes what's left for the account and month you're looking at.

  3. 3

    You decide

"I can still afford it" or "I'll hold off". That's the only question Tulyne exists to answer.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is Tulyne paid?
No, Tulyne is free. No card details are asked for at sign-up.
How is this better than an Excel spreadsheet?
A spreadsheet won't remind you of your subscriptions, won't work out what's left as the month goes, and makes you re-enter everything. Tulyne does the maths for you, on phone and desktop, and keeps the one useful move: logging the expense.
I've never kept accounts — is this for me?
Yes. There's nothing to catch up on: you start from today, log expenses as they happen, and the overview builds itself.
Do I need to connect my bank account?
No. Tulyne works only from what you enter yourself — that act is what keeps you looking at your spending instead of letting it scroll by.
Isn't logging by hand a chore?
An expense takes a few seconds: an amount and an account are enough, the rest is optional. Entries left to finish are gathered on the home screen, and you come back to them whenever you want.
Where is my data stored?
On our servers, encrypted and protected by your password. It's never sold or used for advertising.
Is there a mobile app?
No native app for now, maybe one day. Tulyne is a website: you can do everything from a phone just as well as from a computer, nothing is locked on mobile. It's simply more comfortable on a bigger screen.
Can I get my data back?
Yes, any time. Your entries export to a file that opens in a spreadsheet.
